Learn With Certified Egyptian Quran Teachers
Every teacher at Dhikr Academy is a native Arabic speaker from Egypt, trained in the Al-Azhar tradition of recitation and selected as much for character as for knowledge. Egypt has produced some of the most respected reciters in the Muslim world, and that tradition of careful, precise, beautiful recitation is exactly what our students inherit lesson after lesson.
Our teachers hold formal qualifications in Quran and Tajweed, have years of experience with international students, and speak clear English alongside Arabic. That means a child in Manchester or a professional in Toronto can follow instructions comfortably while still hearing authentic Arabic pronunciation from the very first minute.
- Formal Islamic education and Quran certification
- Al-Azhar background and traditional recitation training
- Five to twelve years of teaching experience each
- Male and female teachers available
- Fluent English communication for international students
- Patient, encouraging, and specially trained with children

How Our Online Lessons Work
Lessons are delivered live and one to one through Zoom or Google Meet, so there is nothing complicated to install and no classroom to travel to. All you need is a phone, tablet or laptop and a stable internet connection.
Step 1: Message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the student's age, current level and goal. We reply quickly and suggest a suitable teacher and time slot in your own time zone.
Step 2: Take your free trial lesson
Your first lesson is completely free. The teacher assesses reading level, pronunciation and confidence, then explains a realistic plan for reaching your goal.
Step 3: Choose your schedule
Pick 30 or 60 minute lessons and how many times a week you would like to study. Most students choose two or three lessons weekly, which balances steady progress with real life.
Step 4: Start learning and track progress
Teachers set homework where appropriate, review it at the start of each lesson, and send monthly progress reports so you always know exactly how the student is developing.
I had tried apps and YouTube for years and never got past the alphabet. Six months of weekly lessons and I am now reading and understanding short surahs in Arabic. Having a real teacher changed everything.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know Arabic letters before starting?
No. If needed, your teacher begins with the letters and pronunciation, and many of our students start with no prior knowledge at all.
How long does it take to understand Quranic Arabic?
With two lessons a week and consistent homework, most students begin understanding simple Quranic verses within eight to twelve months.
Can I combine Arabic with Quran lessons?
Yes. Many students take two Quran lessons and one Arabic lesson each week, and teachers coordinate the two so they reinforce each other.
How much do lessons cost?
A 30-minute lesson is £3.50 and a 60-minute lesson is £7.00. Your first trial lesson is free.
